** Showtime or 1 Showtime Workshops are a prerequisite for this 2 day series. **
Embrace your body!
This workshop will prepare you for your chance in the spotlight – with your own routine.
We will be reviewing the lectures & movements from Boudoir Burlesque & Showtime Burlesque Workshops.
Covering topics:
* Shimmies, Shakes & Pasties
* Floor work
* Flawless Fans
* Names, Character & Content
* Costuming & Music
* Routine Finishing Touches
Then we will be reviewing your choices of music & clothing for your performance. We will discuss what pieces you may be missing, problems you may have with certain items & the ease of use. Each person will go through the rough draft routine they have prepared.
Once the routines have been performed, the class will help each other by making suggestions on how to better the routine if necessary. These suggestions & any questions you may have, will be addressed & notes can be taken.
Then you will each be given homework pertaining to your individual routines. You will have 2 weeks to perfect your routines & make costume choices/alterations.
Class will meet back here on week 2 to go through final routines & handle any problems that may have come up during your homework process. We will also go through any final costume issues at this time.

Now that you have the skills, get ready to perform at our optional graduation. This will be held at a venue here in Ventura.
Class necessities:
- Workout/loose clothes with bare legs & / or the outfit you intend to perform in
- 2 removable bras
- gloves
- boa (available for use)
- thigh hi stockings
- the heels you intend to perform in
- 1 yd of fringe, dangle bead or tassel trim for belt shimmies(Available for use) or your shimmy bottom
- Notebook & Pen
- 3 musical choices for your routine
- Rough draft of your routine
- your Burlesque name
- List of questions for the instructor
Instructor: Scarlett Letter A....... has been tantalizing audiences since 2004. An accomplished performer, costumer and producer, she can be found performing all over Southern California, and at many Burlesque festivals throughout the country. She is currently producing/co-producing 3 monthly shows in Los Angeles.
